What is Eben Ministries?
Eben- The Meaning Behind Our Name:
Eben(stone) is short for Ebenezer which means “Stone of Help” in Hebrew.
“Take twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan…When your children ask someday, what do these stones mean to you?’ you shall tell them these stones are a memorial (Ebenezer)…that everyone on the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty and that you may fear the Lord your God forever.” (Joshua 4:3, 6-7,24)
Eben Ministries desires to be the “stone of help” for those women to look back and tell their children how the mighty hand of the Lord has been with them.
About Us
Founded in 2020, we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit, faith-based, maternity home in Belton, Missouri. We seek to empower single women who are experiencing a crisis pregnancy. We provide housing, transportation, and safe, loving relationships as well as programs such as budgeting, life skills, and parenting classes. We also connect our residents to social services to allow them to receive long-term services and support. Through this support, we desire to stop generational trauma from continuing on to their children.
